We Need Your Expertise: Open Call for Speakers

share

Are you knowledgeable in WordPress, workflows, mental wellness, remote working, business, or do you have insights on moving forward in trying times? What about similar topics? Do you also want to help create transformative experiences for others?

If your answer is “yes,” we’d love to have you as a speaker for WordFest Live this November.

It’s an online festival of WordPress and wellness for remote workers. It includes sessions on a range of topics to help others be successful while working from home.

That’s where you come in. If you’re interested, you can read on for details or fill out our application form straight away.

The 24-Hour Festival of WordPress

WordFest Live is a one-day, 24-hour long virtual event. It spans over six continents in 4-hour windows for each corresponding time zone: Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe,South America, and North America.

No matter where you’re located, there’s a spot for you.

What to Expect as a Speaker

Your session can be 30 to 40 minutes long. You can present live or pre-record it, which also gives you a chance to get creative.

At the end of your session, you’ll need to be available for a live Q & A session so attendees can ask you questions. It lasts 10 minutes.

We’re set up to create another high-quality event this year so we’re looking for speakers who can meet our vibe.

Our team of volunteers are ready and willing to help you along the way to make sure you’re all set up and ready to go when it’s show time. If you have any questions, we’re here, so feel free to reach out.

What Topics Can You Pick?

Even though it’s a WordPress Festival, we’re open to whatever subjects you think will provide support to remote workers.

This year, our theme is transformation. We want attendees to “walk” away feeling like their life is no longer the same as it once was because they have tools, resources, strategies, plans, and tips that truly help transform their lives for the better.

By the end of the 24 hours, we want people to feel more capable, resilient, and empowered to work in a healthier mindset – as much as possible. We also want them to feel connected to others in the community in a compassionate, meaningful way – much like in an in-person WordPress event or conference.

This means we’re open to whatever topics you think fit this description, as previously touched upon. As long as you can present it in an online format, we’d love to hear your ideas.

Go on, Apply to Be a Speaker Now

If you’d like some inspiration, check out our sessions from our last WordFest Live which was held this past March.

Ready to apply as a volunteer speaker? The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2022. Apply today – we’re excited to hear from you.
