It’s a Wrap…or is it?

First and foremost, thank you.

Thank you to all of the speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees that made WordFest a smash! We had a blast with you all, and hope you did, too.

From the behind-the-scenes volunteers to our on-screen emcees and speakers, WordFest touched a lot of people and raised funds to support the work we do at Big Orange Heart.

Let’s look at the numbers.

  • 1 – idea
  • 4 – global regions
  • 8 – core team members
  • 12 – international sponsors
  • 22 – micro-sponsors
  • 34 – global volunteers
  • 48 – international speakers
  • 70 – sponsor sessions
  • 177 – charitable donors
  • 2,271 – registered attendees
  • $40,610 – funds raised

We think those numbers are pretty impressive, and of course, it wouldn’t be possible without you and our great crew.

We want your feedback.

We had fun at WordFest, but did you? What could be improved? What did you like best? We want to know! Please take a few moments to complete our post-WordFest Live survey to help us make the next one even better. (Yes – we said the next one! When? Still in the works. More about that later.)

The future of WordFest Live is…

Believe it or not, it’s already in discussion as the organizers are still wiping the sleep from our eyes and recovering from hours of work and a weekend of catching up with our families and friends. We don’t have any announcements yet, but we promise to post about it on our site and in social media as we get things decided.

But back to our main point…

Thank you. From all of us on the WordFest team and from the Big Orange Heart crew, we are grateful for you.

Until next time,

Your WordFest Organizers
