WordPress powers some of the world’s biggest publishers, but keeping up with its evolving ecosystem isn’t always easy. That’s where WP Publisher Success Week comes in. Back for its second year from February 24-28, the free virtual event will bring together media and publishing professionals to share strategies for sustainable growth, editorial efficiency, and navigating change.
Hosted by State of Digital Publishing and sponsored by Multidots, the event features a mix of presentations, panels, and workshops covering everything from major site migrations and security at scale to AI’s growing role in digital publishing.
Five days of expert insights
- Day 1: The Evolution of WordPress and What’s Upcoming in 2025 – keynote by Vahe Arabian (State of Digital Publishing) and Rae Morey (The Repository).
- Day 2: Streamlining Editorial Workflows for a Major WordPress Migration – case study by Aslam Multani (Multidots).
- Day 3: Website Migration Essentials – panel with Kyle Sutton (The Points Guy), Shelby Blackley (The Athletic and WTF is SEO?), and Bryan Davis (The Associated Press), moderated by Jessie Willms (The Guardian and WTF is SEO?).

Helping publishers make sense of WordPress in 2025
Last year’s event resonated with attendees, with many praising its hands-on insights, expert speakers, and real-world strategies. Some requested more deep dives into WordPress workflows, while others wanted more opportunities to connect with industry leaders.
That demand made a second edition inevitable, said Vahe Arabian, founder of State of Digital Publishing. But this year, he said, the need for clarity was even greater.
“Since late 2024, there’s been an unusual amount of coverage about WordPress and Automattic, and it feels like lines have been drawn,” Arabian said. “Our delegates want to understand what this means for their digital properties and how to move forward.”
Beyond offering actionable strategies, Arabian said the event will also help attendees separate signal from noise in an increasingly fragmented ecosystem.
“Our job this year is to not only provide the attendees with actionable advice but also to help them separate the sometimes messy coverage that they see in the media from what actually is happening with this open-source tool, to help them move forward with confidence and equipped with practical steps to successfully grow traffic and revenue opportunities to their sites.”
Practical insights from those on the front lines
Attendees will hear directly from seasoned professionals who work with WordPress every day.
“They will receive advice from the trenches—from experienced professionals who utilize WordPress on a daily basis and have, over time, developed best practices through first-hand experience,” Arabian said. “Workshops will deliver more in-depth tutorials, while panel discussions will give attendees more diversity in opinions and approaches.”
With a focus on open access and community-driven learning, WP Publisher Success Week is free to attend. “There’s no single right way to succeed in digital publishing,” Arabian said. “Being part of a community helps publishers separate hype from reality and build trust with their audiences.”
